Description

  • Own compute hardware from architecture and schematic capture through board-level validation and bring-up.
  • Design compute boards delivering at least 10 TFLOPS for onboard AI/ML inference and science data processing.
  • Architect and implement power delivery networks for high-complexity carrier boards and multi-rail 500W+ designs.
  • Integrate GPU or CPU compute modules onto custom PCBs with high-speed coherent interconnects.
  • Define thermal interface requirements and hand off thermal and packaging specifications to the mechanical team.
  • Design and validate high-speed memory, PCIe Gen 4/5, and 10 GbE+ Ethernet interfaces.
  • Develop board-level power monitoring, current limiting, and radiation upset recovery circuitry.
  • Lead hardware bring-up and board-level validation, including hands-on debugging with the software team.

Requirements

  • BSEE with 5+ years of experience designing and bringing up high-speed digital compute boards.
  • Direct exposure to GPU, HPC, or modern accelerator platforms is preferred.
  • Proficiency in high-speed digital PCB design principles, including multi-GHz signaling and dense BGA escape routing on high layer-count stackups.
  • Experience with signal integrity analysis through both simulation and measurement.
  • Strong command of power integrity and power delivery network design, including multi-rail architectures, power management IC selection, voltage sequencing, and board-level current limiting.
  • Strong working experience with high-speed serial interface design, analysis, and debug, particularly PCIe Gen 4/5 topology, configuration, and Ethernet.
  • Experience writing basic firmware for hardware bring-up and validation is a nice to have.
  • Hands-on embedded systems debug skills are preferred.
  • Experience with COTS hardware for space applications, including radiation awareness, component derating, and upset mitigation techniques, is a nice to have.
  • Hands-on experience with physical PCB layout for complex, high-layer-count boards with dense BGA packages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with thermal management at the board and system level, including junction temperature modeling and thermal interface material selection, is preferred.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with a hiring range of $175,000 to $241,000 USD.
  • Equity as part of the total rewards package.
  • Generous PTO and sick leave policy.
  • Parental leave.
  • Annual learning and development stipend.
  • Additional benefits and perks available through the company’s benefits program.
  • Reasonable accommodation support for candidates who need it.
