Description

  • Manage and execute multi-country payroll delivery across 15+ international countries, including inputs, validation, approvals, funding coordination, reconciliations, statutory filings, and post-payroll activities.
  • Lead the global payroll calendar and operating cadence, managing cutoffs, dependencies, exceptions, and risks to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Partner with local in-country payroll providers to maintain adherence to regional pay schedules and statutory processing windows.
  • Oversee global equity compensation payroll processing, including RSUs and stock options, and ensure compliance with international tax jurisdictions and reporting requirements.
  • Act as the functional lead for payroll technology projects, using Workday to automate workflows, optimize configurations, and build reporting.
  • Partner with internal teams across People, Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, Equity, and Internal Audit to deliver compliant payroll outcomes.
  • Manage external payroll vendors and third-party tax fulfillment partners to support funds reconciliation and local tax compliance.
  • Establish, document, and enforce global payroll policies, SOX controls, and standard operating procedures to improve audit readiness.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as M&A integrations, new country market entries, and cross-functional launches.
  • Respond to audit and control requests with reconciliations, evidence, and supporting documentation.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of progressive payroll operations experience in a high-growth, publicly traded tech company with a global footprint.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in payroll, accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency with Workday Payroll, including reporting, configuration, and integrations.
  • Experience with global payroll software platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including VLOOKUPs, INDEX/MATCH, and pivot tables.
  • Strong understanding of global equity taxation, statutory compliance, international labor laws, and multi-currency payroll distribution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential data with discretion.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience responding to internal, external, statutory, and financial audit requests is preferred.
  • Experience applying automation or AI tools to payroll operations, analytics, controls, or documentation is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $143,600 to $201,000 USD.
  • Eligibility for equity in the form of restricted stock units, and possibly commission depending on the role offered.
