Description

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients and manage onboarding, updates, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate assigned immigration matters through established firm workflows.
  • Open and maintain accurate case records, tasks, notes, deadlines, and communications in Docketwise.
  • Track milestones, government notices, appointments, deadlines, and stalled matters.
  • Collect, review for completeness, label, upload, and organize client documents.
  • Coordinate attorney, client, interpreter, and case-review appointments.
  • Monitor attorney and paralegal queues and ensure timely, complete handoffs.
  • Escalate legal questions, delays, urgent deadlines, and unusual developments to attorneys or paralegals.
  • Provide concise case-status updates and participate in case-review meetings.
  • Follow firm SOPs, checklists, confidentiality standards, and quality-control procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of direct experience in a U.S. immigration law firm.
  • Hands-on experience managing immigration cases from onboarding through completion.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. immigration case stages, terminology, deadlines, and government notices.
  • Experience with Docketwise or a comparable immigration case-management platform.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Exceptional client service, follow-up, organization, and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of active matters, prioritize deadlines, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation habits.
  • Reliable high-speed internet, dependable equipment, and a professional remote work environment.
  • Availability Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with a 45-minute break.
  • Preferred: advanced Docketwise experience, family-based immigration experience, remote U.S. law firm experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and bilingual ability.
  • The role does not provide legal advice, determine strategy or eligibility, prepare substantive filings, represent clients before agencies, or independently submit legal work.
