Description

  • Manage and lead multiple engineering teams, setting clear objectives and aligning execution with company goals.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop engineering talent while fostering a growth-oriented and supportive environment.
  • Establish a culture of technical excellence, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive performance management, career progression, and team effectiveness through clear feedback and guidance.
  • Define and track KPIs and OKRs, and adjust capacity and delivery timelines when needed.
  • Guide prioritization discussions with stakeholders and remove blockers to keep teams moving.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality, scalability, and maintainability standards.
  • Manage engineering budgets, tooling investments, and infrastructure costs to maximize efficiency.
  • Communicate technical vision and collaborate with Product, Design, Business, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Oversee system design and technical roadmaps, making architectural decisions that balance scalability, security, and performance.

Requirements

  • Academic background in computer science, engineering, or a related software development discipline.
  • Proven experience leading teams in product-driven companies.
  • Hands-on backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and AWS; frontend experience is a plus.
  • Experience delivering scalable systems in medium- to high-complexity domains.
  • Background optimizing engineering processes using agile methodologies, DevOps principles, and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of web and mobile application architecture, security, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, object-oriented programming, and microservices-based systems.
  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and distributed systems.
  • Practical experience applying AI frameworks in development projects and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
  • Ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders, translate technical work into business value, and make decisions based on KPIs, OKRs, and system health.
  • Proven ability to hire, coach, and develop engineering talent, including mentoring technical leads; experience managing managers is a plus.
  • Experience managing budgets, infrastructure resources, tooling investments, timelines, and priorities across multiple squads or teams.
  • Strong grasp of software quality practices, including testing strategies, code reviews, observability, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working in financial domains such as lending, payments, credit cards, open finance, fraud prevention, merchant acquiring, or investment services is preferred.
