Description

  • Collaborate, build, and lead key components of Raya backend services.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners including UX designers and data scientists to deliver comprehensive, user-focused solutions.
  • Stay current with Raya’s tech ecosystem and improve the scalability, maintainability, and innovation of the backend stack.
  • Advocate for strong user experiences by using feedback loops and data-driven methods to refine product features.
  • Own work across the full software development life cycle, including agile practices, CI/CD, and Raya engineering standards.
  • Design, architect, and help scale backend systems in a production startup or fast-moving environment.
  • Contribute with a bias toward shipping quickly, learning from iteration, and refining features in short cycles.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in modern software development environments.
  • Strong experience in system design and software architecture.
  • Mastery of Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Proven experience building and scaling backend systems in production at a startup or fast-moving environment.
  • Production experience with Apple StoreKit Payments/Subscriptions.
  • Production experience with Stripe Payments/Subscriptions for a B2C product.
  • Enthusiasm for new AI tools and frameworks, with a willingness to adopt emerging best practices quickly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote engineering environment.
  • A growth-oriented, impact-driven mindset is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD and agile development practices is preferred.
