Description

  • Own the QA strategy across automated and manual testing, including regression coverage for onboarding, payments, subscriptions, messaging, and login.
  • Manage the balance between automated testing, manual testing, third-party QA services, and AI-assisted testing tools.
  • Run the Raya iOS release process from release planning and code freeze through App Store submission, phased rollout, and rollback or fix-forward decisions.
  • Define release readiness criteria and lead go/no-go decisions.
  • Maintain the release calendar and quality scorecards, reporting crash rates, defect escape rates, and release health to leadership.
  • Run release retrospectives and convert incidents and escaped defects into lasting process improvements.
  • Connect release decisions and quality practices with the incident response process.
  • Partner with engineering managers, product, and leadership to embed quality into development workflows while supporting delivery speed.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software quality, release management, or engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience managing people.
  • Deep knowledge of the iOS App Store release lifecycle, including TestFlight, phased releases, expedited reviews, and rejection handling.
  • Experience with iOS subscription and payment flows.
  • Experience developing mobile test automation strategies using real-device testing, feature flags, and progressive rollouts.
  • Experience determining the appropriate balance of automated and manual testing.
  • Experience managing third-party QA or crowdtesting vendors.
  • Fluency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and strong knowledge of Git branching strategies for mobile releases.
  • Clear and direct written communication.
  • Ability to build systems and automation, prioritize testing around critical member journeys, and drive defects from discovery through prevention.
