Description

  • Lead enterprise analytics and business intelligence solution development using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Design and maintain governed semantic models, certified datasets, reusable analytical components, and complex DAX calculations.
  • Build, optimize, consolidate, modernize, and migrate executive, operational, compliance, and mission-focused dashboards.
  • Assess dashboard portfolios for usage, redundancy, technical debt, performance, consolidation, and retirement opportunities.
  • Implement data transformation, row-level security, object-level security, and data governance controls.
  • Enable governed self-service analytics and evaluate licensing, capacity, deployment, CopILot, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Develop predictive models, forecasting tools, analytical frameworks, and decision-support capabilities.
  • Gather requirements and translate stakeholder needs into specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, quality checks, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Create documentation, support demonstrations and training, establish analytics standards, and mentor other analysts.

Requirements

  • Significant experience developing enterprise business intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Query.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency with DAX and enterprise semantic model design.
  • Experience developing reusable, certified datasets and executive, operational, or compliance dashboards.
  • Experience rationalizing dashboard portfolios and supporting analytics modernization or migration.
  • Experience implementing row-level security and other analytics access-control mechanisms.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, data lineage, and security principles.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and troubleshooting skills, including experience mentoring analysts.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI deployment pipelines, governed self-service analytics, licensing and capacity strategies, predictive modeling, Python, R, or AI-enabled analytics preferred.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise, federal, Department of Defense, or education-related environments preferred.
