Description

  • Mentor and support the career growth of team members in the Applied AI / ML practice.
  • Participate in the hiring process and annual performance review cycle.
  • Shape engineering culture, best practices, and a learning-oriented team environment.
  • Work with Qvest leadership to propose and present engineering practices, architectures, and technology stacks.
  • Contribute to business development by creating content and supporting proposals.
  • Identify, experiment with, and evaluate new tools, technologies, and architectural approaches for projects and the broader organization.
  • Translate business requirements into deployable systems and define team structures for project delivery.
  • Extract reusable components, patterns, concepts, and lessons learned for reuse across the organization.
  • Lead implementation efforts by contributing code, documentation, architecture, tests, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate directly with clients and internal teams on applied AI/ML solutions and enterprise deployments.

Requirements

  • 8-12+ years of software development experience, including work in team environments.
  • Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or XP.
  • Expertise in ML / Applied AI tools and patterns, including LLMs, MLOps, and RAG.
  • Experience with models and platforms such as OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude, Amazon Bedrock, or LLaMA.
  • Experience developing copilots and RAG applications.
  • Experience working with enterprise deployments and communicating with client leadership about APIs, systems, and enterprise landscapes.
  • Experience with vector databases and embeddings.
  • Experience with graph databases.
  • Experience defining and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with SOA, microservices, or similar architectural patterns.
  • Experience with enterprise application integration, including architecture, data flows, interfaces, and middleware.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization methods and products.
  • Experience managing data architecture, including persistence choices, schema design, constraints, and transaction boundaries.
  • Experience balancing feature delivery against technical debt while maintaining quality over time.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
