Description

  • Drive end-to-end product design from user research and exploration through final delivery in collaboration with product managers, engineers, researchers, and design leadership.
  • Design QuillBot’s browser extension experience for Chrome, Edge, and Safari, including core capabilities, interaction patterns, and visual design.
  • Ensure the browser extension integrates seamlessly with the web app and other product surfaces to create a unified user experience.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design language system by reusing patterns and creating scalable new components.
  • Advocate for user experience by understanding user needs, behaviors, and broader goals.
  • Craft elegant browser-based experiences with strong interaction design, clear visual hierarchy, and thoughtful micro-interactions.
  • Build understanding of web technologies, extension frameworks, and cross-browser limitations to inform design decisions.
  • Participate in design critiques, mentor peers, and help strengthen team rituals and design excellence.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience designing consumer-facing web products or browser extensions.
  • Experience with complex user flows, productivity tools, or in-context experiences embedded within existing workflows.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates systems thinking, polished visual design, and user-centered process.
  • Experience using design systems to scale design across web surfaces and browser environments.
  • Strong interaction and visual design skills with high attention to craft.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, web patterns, and browser-specific constraints.
  • Ability to work self-directed, thrive in ambiguity, and move quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Ability to prototype using Figma, Claude, code, or motion to explore and test ideas.
  • Strong writing skills or appreciation for how language shapes experience.
  • Experience designing for AI-powered tools, or readiness to apply that understanding to emerging AI capabilities.
  • Preferred: Uses AI in the design process.
  • Preferred: Front-end development skills.
