Description

  • Design and develop ETL solutions using IBM DataStage based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Build data integration workflows to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems into target systems.
  • Design and implement data models and mappings to support accurate and performant transformations.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve ETL performance bottlenecks and data integration issues.
  • Implement error handling and monitoring mechanisms for ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, database administrators, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation such as data mappings, process flow diagrams, and user guides.
  • Maintain and update existing ETL processes to support ongoing business needs.
  • Stay current on data integration and ETL trends, tools, and technologies to improve existing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DataStage Developer or in a similar ETL development role.
  • Strong proficiency in IBM DataStage, including stages, transformations, and parallel processing.
  • Solid understanding of data integration concepts, ETL principles, and data warehousing.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and schema design.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex data issues.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality, accurate results.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell scripting or Python is a plus.
