Description

  • Design and implement critical architectural and UI features for Qonto’s iOS app that impact end users’ daily financial workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to create a unified product vision and ship features in small autonomous squads.
  • Tackle real-time synchronization and stability challenges, driving initiatives to improve reliability and performance.
  • Maintain high code quality through continuous refactoring, comprehensive unit and snapshot testing, and rigorous code reviews.
  • Contribute to and evolve the app’s architecture (MVP, Coordinators, MVVM, modular design) and participate in migration of screens to SwiftUI and async/await patterns.
  • Own and iterate on reusable modules and components, ensuring clear ownership, faster builds, and safer iterations.
  • Participate in CI/CD automation, test lab usage, and tooling improvements to streamline delivery and reduce build/test times.
  • Apply pragmatic, solution-oriented approaches to deliver value quickly while advocating for long-term technical excellence and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a mobile engineer with strong Swift skills and deep understanding of the iOS ecosystem, SDKs, and app lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable commitment to quality: unit testing (XCTest), snapshot testing (FBSnapshots), Clean Code and SOLID principles.
  • Experience with modern iOS patterns and architectures (MVP, Coordinators, MVVM), SwiftUI, async/await and modular/clean architecture approaches.
  • Familiarity with tooling and CI/CD used by the team: GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Firebase Test Lab, Fastlane, Sonar, and Tuist for project generation/caching.
  • Experience with mocking and protocol-oriented testing (e.g., SwiftyMocky) and owning large test suites (unit + snapshot tests).
  • Strong communication skills and experience working effectively in cross-functional teams with technical and non-technical stakeholders; fluent English.
  • Pragmatic problem-solving mindset, curiosity and a growth mindset; willingness to learn new technologies and contribute to product decisions.
  • Eligible to work full-time and, if applying for remote, be based in France, Germany, Italy, or Spain.
