Description

  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate cloud technologies and architectures.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure code using Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • Manage and automate deployment, scaling, and administration of cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes or similar tools.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure consistency, repeatability, and version control.
  • Maintain security controls and policies to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues.
  • Monitor cloud performance, availability, and security, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues using observability tools.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability.
  • Lead customer project scoping by gathering requirements, estimating effort, and supporting delivery planning.

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of Google Cloud Platform architecture and services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Build.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
  • Ability to code using Python, Go, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Understanding of networking, security, and compliance in a cloud environment and/or on Linux distribution systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide root cause analysis.
  • Already be, or desire to be, professionally certified in Google Cloud.
  • Experience with security and compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
  • Experience working with monitoring tools such as Stackdriver or Prometheus.
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues and supporting customer-facing technical work.
