Description

  • Own CI/CD systems end-to-end, including auditing the current state, redesigning pipelines, and improving reliability and developer experience.
  • Lead the adoption of standardized Quality Engineering practices and testing frameworks across engineering teams.
  • Drive increased automation of QE processes using AI-assisted tooling.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of 1–3 Quality Engineers.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to shift quality earlier in the development lifecycle.
  • Establish structured knowledge sharing and process documentation to scale the team’s impact.
  • Set technical direction for the Quality Engineering function and help shape its evolution across the organization.
  • Act as the quality voice across the broader engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience owning and operating CI/CD systems at scale using tools such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience redesigning pipelines for reliability and speed.
  • Deep expertise in CI/CD tooling and infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent.
  • A clear, defensible philosophy around test strategy and coverage.
  • Background in Quality Engineering or Software Development in Test (SDET).
  • Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude, Codex, or Cursor to automate testing practices and accelerate workflows.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring a small engineering team, even informally.

  • Annual US base salary range of $175,000 to $220,000 USD.
