Description

  • Design and maintain A/B testing infrastructure for the website and mobile app.
  • Build data pipelines that capture user behavior and surface experiment results quickly.
  • Instrument analytics to track what is happening and why.
  • Implement test variants ranging from copy changes to onboarding flows and feature experiments.
  • Define success metrics and measure the impact of each experiment.
  • Analyze experiment results, document learnings, and turn findings into next steps.
  • Generate growth hypotheses based on data, user behavior, and best practices from high-growth companies.
  • Prioritize and pitch experiment ideas for approval and own execution on launched tests.
  • Stay close to the product and business to identify high-leverage growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with both frontend and backend development and the ability to ship full-stack features and experiments end to end.
  • Experience building or working with A/B testing frameworks and analytics pipelines.
  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to design clean experiments and interpret results honestly.
  • Understanding of common experimentation pitfalls such as p-hacking and novelty effects.
  • Product intuition and the ability to generate ideas that could improve activation, retention, or conversion.
  • Bias toward action and ownership, with the ability to self-direct what to build next.
  • Familiarity with growth practices at consumer tech companies.
  • Experience as the first or only growth engineer at a startup is preferred.
  • Background in growth, lifecycle, or product analytics roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, or LaunchDarkly is preferred.
