Description

  • Lead primary market research development and execution across qualitative and quantitative studies.
  • Guide team members and stakeholders on research methodologies, study design, and project management.
  • Direct research analysis, presentation of insights, and recommendation delivery to stakeholders.
  • Manage participant compensation tracking to stay within legal and distributor guidelines.
  • Research distribution trends and evaluate how channels, competitive strategies, and emerging technologies affect Protective.
  • Perform deep analysis of internal data sources and connect disparate information sources to inform business decisions.
  • Oversee secondary research tracking, procurement, synthesis, and organized access to data.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders across Product Development, Sales Distribution, New Business/Operations, and other teams.
  • Build learning agendas with stakeholders and align research priorities to broader strategic goals.
  • Manage market research vendor relationships, including identifying, investigating, and onboarding new suppliers as needed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in market research and/or market analytics.
  • Financial services industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Relevant advanced degrees, executive education, and industry designations or licenses are preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead team-based research projects, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
  • Experience with a mix of research methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across business functions and influence outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, including presenting research methods and findings to all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, results-focused, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
