Description

  • Lead a team to build machine learning models for personal loan and credit card acquisition credit strategies, including underwriting, line assignment, and pricing.
  • Develop ML/AI models to support credit line management, transaction fraud, and payment fraud programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the full modeling lifecycle, including design, development, evaluation, validation, and performance tracking.
  • Apply data, modeling, and business expertise to translate modeling work into measurable business outcomes.
  • Evaluate third-party solutions and recommend options that deliver strong return on investment.
  • Communicate complex technical and modeling concepts clearly to business and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Guide the team in an agile, fast-paced environment to deliver results aligned with business needs.
  • Lead by example and help drive innovation while challenging the status quo.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in credit card modeling or the consumer lending business.
  • 7+ years of people leadership experience.
  • M.S. or PhD required, preferably in statistics, computer science, engineering, physical sciences, economics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong machine learning education background with experience applying ML to business problems.
  • Ability to formulate business problems and guide teams to deliver results in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to balance time-to-market expectations and implementation costs.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in plain English.
  • Comfort using Google Cloud data environments and technologies such as Python, Spark, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines in the lending business.
