Description

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks for customer accounts.
  • Pull bank statements and match transactions in the accounting software for bank reconciliations.
  • Follow company protocols and SOPs to maintain quality in daily accounting operations.
  • Process client invoices from email into the system and manage AP workflows for AppFolio clients and non-tool software clients.
  • Identify duplicate invoices and escalate issues to a manager when needed.
  • Validate vendor information in the system to ensure correct invoice processing.
  • Verify tenant payments, post payments accurately, and correct posting errors when necessary.
  • Flag unmatched and stale-dated bank transactions for follow-up and ensure transactions are processed correctly.
  • Communicate processing needs, questions, and blockers to the Senior Accountant and other accounting team members.

Requirements

  • Experience working in accounting operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bank reconciliations.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is continuously evolving.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and transaction matching processes.
  • Ability to identify and correct processing errors with attention to detail.
  • Experience handling client invoices, vendor records, or tenant payments is preferred.
  • Ability to escalate accounting issues, questions, or blockers appropriately.
  • Based remotely in Colombia.
  • Experience with AppFolio clients or similar property accounting workflows is preferred.
