Description

  • Collaborate with Product and cross-functional engineering teams to design, create, and maintain customer-facing features.
  • Write high-quality code with strong performance and reliability standards.
  • Use AI tools in coding, review, and deployment workflows to improve delivery efficiency.
  • Drive project scoping discussions, including requirements and trade-off analysis.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues within the team’s areas of ownership.
  • Improve engineering practices through code reviews and mentoring.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in the production on-call rotation several times per year after training.
  • Work across the stack, including back-end services, data layer, web interfaces, APIs, third-party integrations, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building complex, customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails and React.
  • Experience with electronic signature, identity verification, or online notarization products preferred.
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy product environments preferred.
  • Strong focus on quality and experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Willingness to learn any part of the stack, including back-end services, data layer, web interfaces, APIs, third-party integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Comfort adapting to new technology and new opportunities.
  • Sense of ownership over code from technical design through production.
  • Bias toward action and solutions.
  • Ability to work independently on well-defined problems and know when to ask for help.
  • Effective communication and active listening skills with a thoughtful, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with GraphQL and AWS is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, Postgres SQL, Redis, React, GraphQL, Apollo, and TypeScript is relevant to the role.
