Description

  • Lead the design vision, strategy, and execution across three cross-functional teams.
  • Own design outcomes for a core participant domain as a hands-on designer.
  • Improve participant experiences and authenticity across the global marketplace and specialist pool.
  • Design and build internal tools and participant modeling platforms for internal teams, including Human Data Ops.
  • Co-own accessibility and the Design System with other design leaders.
  • Line-manage 1-3 designers directly and mentor additional designers.
  • Coach team behaviors and skills while modeling strong design execution.
  • Collaborate closely with product engineers, AI researchers, data scientists, product managers, and designers across Prolific.
  • Conduct user research and data analysis to inform design decisions.

Requirements

  • Extensive and varied in-house product design experience working alongside product managers and engineers.
  • Pure agency experience is likely to be screened out.
  • Experience line-managing designers or acting as a player-coach for other designers.
  • Confidence using AI prototyping tools, including Figma Make.
  • Competence with standard design tools, principles, and methodologies.
  • Basic to detailed understanding of how AI models work.
  • Experience in a rapidly scaling startup is preferred.
  • AI training experience, or a data science or computer science background, is preferred.
  • A track record of contributing to the product or design community is preferred.
