Description

  • Lead design for complex, cross-cutting platform problems from discovery and research through delivery and iteration.
  • Translate ambiguous problems and emerging business areas into clear product direction with product, client success, and sales teams.
  • Design data-dense workflows that help underwriters identify relevant information and act confidently.
  • Define how AI communicates confidence, presents sources, and keeps underwriters in control of decisions.
  • Establish scalable design patterns for new lines of business and expanding workflows.
  • Use AI and rapid prototyping tools to develop and validate concepts quickly.
  • Raise design quality through critique, mentorship, and shared standards.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience designing digital products for B2B, data-rich, or productivity-tool companies.
  • Experience working in a rapidly scaling startup with an ownership-oriented culture.
  • Experience designing AI-driven tools.
  • Experience scaling an existing platform to support new and expanding workflows.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to simplify complexity and create thoughtful user interfaces.
  • Systems-thinking skills and experience contributing to design systems.
  • Strong visual design, information hierarchy, interaction, layout, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and feedback-oriented approach.
  • Experience with MUI, Material UI, or similar design systems preferred.
  • InsurTech, FinTech, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred; technical background or interest is a plus.

  • Annual salary range of $190,000–$245,000 USD, with final compensation based on experience, interview performance, and location.
