Description

  • Deliver engaging one-on-one and small-group virtual instruction in JMP statistical software and applied statistics concepts.
  • Create structured lesson plans tailored to each learner’s academic, research, or professional goals.
  • Adapt instruction in real time based on learner questions, project needs, and skill level.
  • Support learners with coursework, research projects, manufacturing/process analytics, or professional upskilling.
  • Track learner progress and communicate effectively with students and, when applicable, academic or corporate partners.
  • Provide instruction in topics such as Design of Experiments, quality engineering, and process improvement.
  • Match teaching approach to individual learner needs and accommodations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience working with students.
  • Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations.
  • Strong virtual instruction skills, including comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace.
  • Strong working knowledge of JMP statistical software.
  • Background in statistics, engineering, data analytics, manufacturing, quality engineering, Six Sigma, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience teaching, tutoring, training, or mentoring preferred.
  • Familiarity with DOE, SPC, process optimization, or applied industrial statistics is a strong plus.
  • Active or previous teaching credential, especially in Special Education, preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
