Description

  • Own cross-functional KPI reporting and proactively communicate important performance signals.
  • Lead strategic planning analyses for initiatives, market opportunities, and business tradeoffs.
  • Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from executives and department leaders.
  • Own FP&A activities, including Board and investor reporting, financial planning, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of underlying business data by resolving quality issues at their source.
  • Build and improve data models, reporting capabilities, and technical data infrastructure, including AI-enabled workflows.
  • Translate complex financial and operational analysis into clear recommendations for non-finance audiences.
  • Partner across the company as a strategic analytical resource and decision-making advisor.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment, plus FP&A or strategic finance experience at an operating company.
  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or software startup environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, including ARR, NRR/GRR, CAC, LTV, magic number, burn multiple, and Rule of 40.
  • Excellent financial modeling skills and the ability to build clean, structured models that withstand scrutiny.
  • Experience building processes and tooling from scratch; AI-enabled development experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide leadership with contextual analysis and recommendations, not just reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex analysis to non-finance audiences.
  • Highly organized, responsive, independent, and comfortable managing ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience with dbt, Snowflake, comparable modern data-stack tools, SQL, BI/dashboarding, or FP&A tools preferred.
  • Experience building reporting processes at a company with fewer than approximately 100 employees preferred.
