Description

  • Prepare copy for medical communications projects including abstracts, posters, manuscripts, slide decks, medical affairs materials, and presentations.
  • Work closely with scientific team members to produce content that meets client objectives, internal quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage assigned tasks and deadlines to ensure work is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with clients and external thought leaders to support smooth project delivery.
  • Review, interpret, and incorporate internal and external feedback while maintaining consistency and scientific accuracy.
  • Share relevant updates and information with editorial and client services teams.
  • Build knowledge of therapeutic areas, competitors, new products, new indications, and emerging data.
  • Track actual time against project budgets and submit accurate timesheets on schedule.
  • Raise changes in project scope or deadlines that may affect budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Maintain awareness of industry self-regulation, compliance guidelines, and client SOPs.

Requirements

  • A life sciences degree is required, ideally combined with a science master’s degree or PhD.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and its processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new therapy areas and disease states as needed.
  • Proactive approach to sharing updates, status, ideas, and feedback with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook, as well as Adobe.
  • Experience in medical writing or medical communications is implied by the role but not explicitly stated as required.
  • Familiarity with industry self-regulation and compliance guidelines and client SOPs is preferred or expected.
