Description

  • Develop, mentor, manage, and coach site start-up personnel while maintaining Precision’s quality standards.
  • Advocate for individual career development and personal accountability across the team.
  • Hold routine 1:1 meetings to manage assigned tasks and support employee development.
  • Serve as subject matter expert support for site start-up activities when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, working guidelines, project plans, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide staff with the resources, training, materials, and system access needed to perform effectively.
  • Contribute to training plans and hold personnel accountable for training goals and remediation needs.
  • Monitor administrative compliance, including time entry, billing compliance, travel expenses, and corporate training.
  • Participate in recruiting by reviewing CVs and interviewing candidates for SSU roles.
  • Support onboarding and training of new site start-up personnel with HR, Training, and other functions.
  • Develop standards and processes to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across the team.
  • Manage FTE allocation and resource planning to align effort with project budgets and assumptions.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Help plan and conduct department meetings to communicate updates to the team.
  • Assist with internal initiatives and other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of clinical research experience, including extensive site start-up experience.
  • Line management experience is essential.
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership competencies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process.
  • Demonstrated competence in people management.
  • Experience working in a team environment with resource management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with clinical software such as CTMS, eTMF, and EDC.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-service demeanor.
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Advanced degree in life sciences or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a CRO environment preferred.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
