Description

  • Lead technology strategic and operational planning to support business goals.
  • Prioritize technology and AI initiatives and coordinate the assessment, deployment, and management of current and future systems.
  • Assess industry, technology, and competitor trends to identify opportunities for technology, AI, and automation that improve revenue and EBITDA.
  • Own relationships with business operations teams, executives, and current and potential vendors.
  • Partner with department leaders to understand business strategy, demand, and priorities and help develop programs and projects that advance those goals.
  • Leverage and optimize new and existing hardware and software to improve collaboration, automation, and efficiency across business units.
  • Direct continuous improvements of systems and procedures.
  • Anticipate the impact of business strategy or policy changes on systems and processes.
  • Identify cost-effective IT investment opportunities, including staffing, sourcing, procurement, and in-house development.
  • Develop business cases and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending initiatives.
  • Participate in the development of IT and business budgets.
  • Measure the effectiveness of deployed solutions.
  • Evaluate and qualify technology solutions and platforms.
  • Participate in client programs and audits as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and directing an IT function, including strategic planning and execution.
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or technical certifications, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in strategic IT planning, organization, and development (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies and systems (preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of the pharma commercialization process (preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and related lab acquisition and analysis software (preferred).
  • Equivalent combination of education, professional training, and experience may be considered.
  • Strong ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals, build rapport, and present effectively.
  • Experience interacting with development teams to deliver first pass quality (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
