Description

  • Own general ledger accounting processes for P&L across the Clinical Solutions organization and multiple business units.
  • Review journal entries prepared by the accounting team and prepare complex GL entries as needed.
  • Review AP spend, cash flow forecasts, and approve AP invoices and cash management submissions when needed.
  • Review balance sheet account reconciliations for SGA costs, payroll liabilities, fixed assets, intercompany balances, insurance, and prepaids.
  • Finalize consolidated corporate SGA budgets and forecasts and determine allocation methods for business units.
  • Provide actual-to-budget spend analysis and commentary to corporate departments to support spend management.
  • Train and mentor staff, maintain accounting documentation, and deliver team training sessions at least bi-annually.
  • Monitor emerging US GAAP standards, support adoption efforts, and assist with data gathering and implementation.
  • Establish internal controls to reduce payment errors, duplicate payments, and fraud risk.
  • Review vendor spend, customer spend/aging, customer contracts, and revenue recognition treatment as needed.
  • Review audit support, finalize accounting memos, manage PBC requests, and support external, tax, and statutory audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory accounting and reporting requirements and oversee statutory financial statements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for local accounting and tax partners.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as system implementations, integrations, acquisitions, and new projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; accounting designation such as CPA or local equivalent preferred.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with computerized ledger systems, such as Infor, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and accounting best practices, including US and international accounting standards.
  • Proven critical thinking, analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle complex reporting under tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Ability to process and analyze large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Meaningful experience partnering with executive leadership.
  • Spanish language skills to communicate with local teams, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop teams and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High ethical standards and integrity when handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Equivalent combination of education, professional training, and experience may be considered.
