Description

Lead the development and optimization of clinical data systems to support regulatory compliance, analytics, and operational excellence.
Drive enterprise-level data standardization and mapping initiatives across programs and global trials.
Design and implement scalable validation frameworks to detect and resolve systemic data issues.
Build and maintain modular codebases using Python, R, SQL, and SAS, and establish coding standards.
Mentor junior engineers and support automation, reproducibility, and performance optimization.
Oversee regulatory alignment with GCP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and other global requirements.
Define documentation protocols and govern audit trails to support inspection readiness.
Develop dashboards and analytics tools that provide insights into data quality, trial progress, and operational KPIs.
Serve as a liaison between Clinical Data Engineering, Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, and Regulatory Affairs.
Lead the design and optimization of secure, high-performance databases, data lakes, and ETL pipelines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, statistics, data management, or clinical operations, or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum 6 years of experience in clinical monitoring, clinical trial management, or an equivalent role.
Advanced programming and automation skills, including database design, dashboard development, and CDISC governance.
Professional working proficiency in English.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team as needed.
Ability to extract pertinent information from protocols, electronic study data systems, and clinical systems.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and data monitoring tools.
Demonstrated experience with integrated risk planning and management.
Ability to mentor junior team members.
CRO experience as a Clinical Data Engineer or Programmer preferred.
