Description

  • Lead designated central laboratory projects from conception through close-out, including planning, execution, risk management, communication, stakeholder management, scope control, and cost control.
  • Serve as the cross-functional lead for assigned projects and monitor operational delivery against contracted timelines and budgets.
  • Create, manage, track, and report project timelines, budgets, revenue goals, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of new and ongoing studies, including assay development, clinical testing, biorepository/sample management, logistics, and kitting.
  • Maintain daily coordination and supervision of scheduled activities and delegate responsibilities as needed.
  • Communicate with clients, collaborators, vendors, and internal teams on data management, inventory control, shipping procedures, and related matters.
  • Prepare and present project information, reports, and correspondence for internal and external meetings.
  • Identify out-of-scope work, escalate issues, and support resolution of operational, technical, project, and business risks.
  • Review, update, and maintain project documentation to approvable status and ensure compliance with standards and client expectations.
  • Mentor junior Project Managers and support process and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as engineering.
  • Experience working as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories in a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office/MS 365 applications.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills with exceptional emotional intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of project management and data analysis.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional research and reporting skills.
  • Exceptional judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10-25%.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when needed to meet business demands.
