Description

  • Coordinate change order budget development with project managers, functional leads, financial analysts, vendors, and partners.
  • Review changes in assumptions, identify information gaps or discrepancies, and translate requirements into accurate budgets.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support timely change order delivery.
  • Schedule and lead change order alignment calls with extended project teams.
  • Prepare, edit, and customize change order narratives, budget summaries, resourcing changes, and financial requirements.
  • Incorporate vendor and partner change orders into consolidated client change orders.
  • Verify assumptions, processes, resourcing, timelines, countries, sites, and patient changes against prior agreements.
  • Perform financial formula reviews, cross-checks, and reasonableness testing.
  • Track change order requests and maintain records to support departmental metrics.
  • Provide variance analysis and participate in internal and client calls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in science, finance, accounting, or a related business field.
  • At least 5 years of experience preparing proposals and/or change orders using Excel-based costing tools.
  • Experience preparing change order and contract documents.
  • Working knowledge of project budgets and financial analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Understanding of project lifecycles and how changes in clinical trial assumptions affect budgets and costs.
  • Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multitask, learn quickly, work independently, and collaborate across teams.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Clinical research organization (CRO) industry experience preferred.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without employer sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel minimally.
