Description

  • Draft comprehensive asylum applications with a focus on substantive responses.
  • Craft client and witness declarations by refining drafts prepared by paralegals.
  • Compile, organize, and strengthen case evidence.
  • Write legal briefs and memoranda that bring case materials into a compelling final form.
  • Collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals on document preparation and refinement.
  • Use AI tools and other technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and strategic depth in legal drafting.
  • Follow structured workflows while exercising professional judgment in case development.
  • Supervise paralegals and/or other attorneys as needed.

Requirements

  • Admission to a U.S. state bar in good standing.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong technological proficiency and willingness to use AI tools and structured workflows.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work without close supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines, and maintain quality standards.
  • Alignment with the firm's core values of integrity, excellence, accountability, teamwork, and passion.
  • Commitment to helping immigrants secure their future in the United States through humanitarian relief.
  • Asylum experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule of somewhat more than 40 hours per week.
