Description

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize dbt models across 20+ data marts serving multiple business functions.
  • Build and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines in Airflow, including custom operators, hooks, and sensors for 40+ data sources.
  • Manage Snowflake infrastructure and deployments, including databases, schemas, warehouses, users, roles, network policies, integrations, and UDFs.
  • Maintain Terraform-managed RBAC grants and support secure, auditable access provisioning across the Snowflake environment.
  • Drive Snowflake cost optimization through warehouse sizing, multi-clustering, query tuning, and performance monitoring.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines for dbt Cloud, Astronomer deployments, and automated data quality testing.
  • Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions for data integrations, APIs, and serverless data processing workflows.
  • Perform code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and maintain documentation for data models and platform components.
  • Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to build data marts, feature engineering tables, and semantic layer metrics for self-service analytics.
  • Contribute to AI and ML initiatives, including Cortex AI semantic models and data preparation for LLM workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with hands-on dbt and SQL development experience.
  • Deep Snowflake expertise, including DDL management, RBAC, warehouse configuration, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools, including DAGs, custom operators, scheduling, and failure handling.
  • Proficiency in Python for data pipeline development, scripting, AWS Lambda functions, and CI/CD automation.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, schemachange, or Flyway for access management and database migrations.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, including dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, data marts, and enterprise data architecture.
  • AWS experience with Lambda, S3, SAM/CloudFormation, and serverless architecture patterns.
  • Strong Git workflows, including branching strategies, pull request reviews, and CI/CD integration with GitHub Actions or similar.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Clear communication skills for working with non-technical stakeholders and translating business requirements into data models.
  • Experience with Airflow Astronomer, dbt Cloud, or Cortex AI workflows is a plus.
