Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT systems including servers, storage, virtualization, and network infrastructure.
  • Ensure system performance, availability, and security across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and consolidations.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and capacity, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Provide expert-level support for complex technical issues across systems, networks, and applications.
  • Guide and mentor junior administrators and IT support staff.
  • Serve as the escalation point for critical incidents and outages.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and cross-functional teams on system upgrades, cloud integrations, and enterprise projects.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in system administration with advanced experience in enterprise environments.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8140 certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Advanced expertise in Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and hybrid IT environments.
  • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, storage solutions, and virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and cloud migration strategies.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, identity/access management, and compliance standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
