Description

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and service agreements.
  • Own contract intake and workflow management through LinkSquares, from initial request through execution.
  • Identify legal risks and recommend practical revisions aligned with business objectives.
  • Advise Technology, Finance, Operations, and other internal stakeholders on contracting matters.
  • Maintain the executed contract repository and track renewals, key dates, and obligations.
  • Handle subpoena responses as needed.
  • Manage legal collections for unpaid premiums and past-due invoices, including demand letters and outside counsel coordination.
  • Resolve disputed accounts, track recoveries, and report results to Finance and legal leadership.
  • Support corporate governance, regulatory compliance, company policies, board documentation, and related filings.
  • Assist with additional legal matters and special projects as the legal team’s needs evolve.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant legal experience in-house or at a law firm advising companies on commercial matters.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active bar licensure in at least one U.S. state; California licensure preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools; LinkSquares experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience with collections, accounts receivable, or creditor rights matters.
  • Litigation experience strongly preferred, including court filings, discovery, and outside litigation counsel management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain legal concepts to non-lawyers.
  • Strong organization, independent judgment, and ability to manage a high volume of matters.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; SharePoint familiarity helpful.
