Description

  • Research emerging threats, malware, threat actors, and exploitation campaigns and turn findings into timely content.
  • Create technical content including blogs, whitepapers, demos, solution and integration briefs, research reports, and papers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Picus platform and translate new capabilities into clear technical narratives.
  • Collaborate with Picus Labs, Product, Engineering, Growth, Threat Research, Red and Blue Teams, and Alliances on public-facing content.
  • Monitor market trends, analyst perspectives, category leaders, emerging product categories, and the competitive landscape.
  • Learn and apply SEO and AEO concepts to improve discoverability across search and AI answer engines.
  • Support content that moves audiences from awareness to purchase across the funnel.
  • Build a strong portfolio and public profile through published work, research, and potentially conference presentations.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in offensive and/or defensive cybersecurity, including internships, labs, CTFs, academic projects, or personal projects.
  • Foundational understanding of the security and threat landscape.
  • Some technical writing experience, or a strong desire to build a portfolio of published content or projects.
  • Ability or willingness to translate technical concepts for different audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal English proficiency.
  • Curiosity and a drive to keep learning in a fast-moving field.
  • Exposure to penetration testing tooling, vulnerability management, or security control validation.
  • Hands-on familiarity with blue-team tooling such as SIEM or EDR/XDR.
  • Interest in autonomous or agentic security validation.
  • Early hands-on experience with adversarial techniques.
  • Basic scripting or automation skills, such as Python, n8n, or comparable workflow tooling.
  • Cybersecurity-related certifications such as Security+, eJPT, or BTL1 are a plus; OSCP/CISSP-level certifications are not expected but would be beneficial.
  • Awareness of SEO/AEO principles or content strategy.
  • Any contribution to the cybersecurity community, public speaking experience, or published work is a plus.
