Description

Maintain commercial generators by diagnosing problems, repairing faults, and replacing components or entire systems.
Perform routine maintenance, performance checks, and readiness inspections on generators.
Install and repair generators using blueprints or other design specifications.
Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and related components, then test for proper operation.
Respond promptly to power and generator alarms and handle assigned phone and email communications in a timely manner.
Remain available for 24/7 on-call duty when required and support emergency callouts.
Work safely around power supply equipment, switching gear, and other hazardous conditions while using required safety equipment and practices.
Attend and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Travel regionally, including long-distance driving and extended time away from home as needed.

Requirements

2+ years of generator maintenance experience preferred.
At least 1 year of work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
Thorough knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair.
Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
Basic knowledge of FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
Moderate computer skills.
Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and alarms visually and audibly.
Willingness to work days, evenings, nights, overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts as required.
Ability to pass a DOT physical.

Base pay range of $30 to $40 USD per hour.
