Description

  • Maintain generators by diagnosing issues, repairing problems, and replacing components or entire systems.
  • Perform routine performance checks and preventive maintenance to ensure generators are ready for service.
  • Read and follow blueprints or other design specifications to install or repair equipment.
  • Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and related components.
  • Test generator systems and components to confirm proper operation after installation or repair.
  • Respond promptly to power and generator alarms and handle assigned phone and email communications in a timely manner.
  • Be available for 24/7 on-call duty when required and travel to job sites as needed.
  • Follow safety practices and participate in designated safety and training meetings.
  • Work on upgrades and additional maintenance for out-of-season equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of intense work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes.
  • 2+ years of generator maintenance experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Moderate computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA standards.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds and perform stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and prolonged standing.
  • Willingness to drive long distances and work daytime, evening, or night hours, including overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical.
