Description

  • Build and customize WordPress websites using Elementor, Divi, and WPBakery.
  • Develop and maintain child themes and custom templates for landing pages, blogs, and marketing pages.
  • Customize or extend plugins with PHP and ensure compatibility across themes, plugins, and updates.
  • Convert designs from Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD into pixel-perfect, responsive layouts.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, mobile optimization, and WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Improve site speed through caching, minification, lazy loading, and CDN integration.
  • Run performance audits with Google Lighthouse and GTmetrix and optimize Core Web Vitals.
  • Manage WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates while implementing security and backup processes.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, site issues, and support tickets, including helping non-technical teammates with CMS usage.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams on builds, campaigns, and content updates.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of WordPress development experience.
  • Strong skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery.
  • Experience with hosting platforms such as cPanel, WP Engine, SiteGround, or Kinsta.
  • Ability to work full-time remotely during U.S. client business hours, with flexibility for deployments and urgent fixes.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues independently and communicating clearly with non-technical teams.
  • Preferred experience with WooCommerce store builds and customization.
  • Preferred experience with custom plugin development.
  • Preferred technical and on-page SEO knowledge.
  • Preferred experience with Git, version control workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
