Description

  • Build and customize WordPress websites using themes, page builders, or custom code.
  • Develop and maintain child themes and custom templates for landing pages, blogs, and content-heavy sites.
  • Install, configure, and customize plugins, and extend plugin functionality with PHP when needed.
  • Convert Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD designs into responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress pages.
  • Optimize site performance using caching, minification, lazy loading, CDN integration, and performance audits.
  • Improve SEO and Core Web Vitals through technical and page-level enhancements.
  • Apply WordPress, theme, and plugin updates, manage backups, and support disaster recovery processes.
  • Harden site security using security tools and best practices.
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and design teams to support campaigns and web publishing needs.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, resolve site issues, and assist non-technical team members with CMS usage.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience building and maintaining WordPress sites.
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery.
  • Experience managing hosting platforms such as cPanel, WP Engine, SiteGround, or Kinsta.
  • Experience with WooCommerce customization and e-commerce site builds is preferred.
  • Experience with plugin development or extending functionality using PHP is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools such as Yoast SEO is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and CI/CD workflows is preferred.
  • Ability to work U.S. client business hours with flexibility for deployments, content updates, and urgent fixes.
