Description

  • Own and manage the month-end close process across multiple business entities and locations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, supporting schedules, and P&L reports.
  • Review financial performance, investigate variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and complete balance sheet tie-outs.
  • Oversee accounts receivable processes, aging reports, and collections monitoring.
  • Review weekly multi-location payroll reports and analyze labor costs and trends.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
  • Evaluate internal controls, strengthen accounting policies, and improve financial governance.
  • Partner with finance leadership on process improvements and special accounting initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proven ownership of the full month-end close process.
  • Experience in multi-location or multi-entity accounting environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and P&L reporting.
  • Strong experience with general ledger management, reconciliations, accounts receivable, and payroll analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • CPA or equivalent accounting qualification is preferred.
  • 2–4 years of public accounting or external audit experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits and strengthening accounting controls is preferred.
  • Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations is preferred.
  • Industry experience in home services, plumbing, HVAC, construction, or field services is preferred.
