Description

  • Serve as the first point of contact for tenant inquiries about rent, lease terms, and property policies.
  • Document tenant interactions in property management software such as AppFolio, Yardi, or Buildium.
  • Manage communications for move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
  • Draft and process lease agreements, amendments, and renewals using DocuSign or Dotloop.
  • Support property marketing by posting listings to Zillow, Apartments.com, Craigslist, and MLS syndication.
  • Pre-screen tenants, schedule showings, and collect rental applications.
  • Track rent payments, apply late fees, and follow up on delinquencies.
  • Prepare delinquency reports, monthly owner statements, and portfolio-level operational reports.
  • Create and manage maintenance work orders, schedule vendors, and confirm completion with tenants.
  • Maintain complete tenant files and ensure compliance with Fair Housing and local landlord-tenant laws.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in property management or real estate operations.
  • Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, AppFolio, or Buildium.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills.
  • Familiarity with lease agreements, tenant laws, and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Experience supporting 100+ unit portfolios (preferred).
  • Knowledge of multi-state landlord-tenant law (preferred).
  • Exposure to property accounting and financial reporting (preferred).
  • Industry experience in residential, commercial, or mixed-use real estate (preferred).
  • Ability to work U.S. client business hours with flexibility for tenant schedules, leasing deadlines, and emergencies.
