Description

  • Design and implement the integration test automation strategy for critical product flows.
  • Build automated API integration coverage across Express and MongoDB boundaries using Supertest and isolated databases.
  • Create frontend-to-backend integration tests for key user journeys in React and Node.js environments.
  • Develop integration coverage for audio/video pipelines and validate generated artifacts in automated tests.
  • Build and maintain the integration automation infrastructure.
  • Integrate integration tests into CI/CD pipelines, including PR gates and staging gates.
  • Document patterns, examples, run instructions, and definition-of-done expectations for integration testing.
  • Create templates and snippets for common integration test scenarios.
  • Run knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to help developers adopt integration testing.
  • Coach and support developers so they can own and maintain integration tests long term.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience implementing integration test automation for API and system/service integration.
  • Solid JavaScript and TypeScript testing experience in React and Node.js environments.
  • Strong experience with Playwright for integration-level smoke flows.
  • Experience with API testing using Supertest or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with database test isolation, specifically MongoDB.
  • Proven experience validating audio and video artifacts in automated tests.
  • CI/CD experience, including test gates, parallel execution, artifacts, and stable pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to document clearly and guide engineers on testing practices.
  • Ability to work as a contractor/vendor and invoice for services rendered.
  • Availability to start as soon as possible and provide weekly availability, as requested in the application.
