Description

  • Manage the progress of contracted book projects from planning through publication.
  • Create, maintain, and drive project schedules to meet agreed delivery dates and time-to-market deadlines.
  • Allocate work across authors, technical reviewers, publishing peers, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor title performance, including milestones, author satisfaction, and technical reviewer satisfaction.
  • Adapt and re-organize project plans in response to changing priorities, risks, and opportunities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain process integrity and good publishing practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resolve or escalate conflicts between deadlines, processes, and quality requirements.
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with authors, reviewers, and other collaborators.
  • Support continuous improvement by reviewing project processes and implementing better project management methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field; a technical degree is preferred.
  • More than 3 years of project management experience, ideally in publishing or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
  • Proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
  • Comfort using modern project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills for working with authors, reviewers, and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of the latest project management tools and practices is a bonus.
