Description

  • Own acquisition strategy and translate market knowledge into a channel roadmap with clear targets and priorities.
  • Manage paid search in China, including campaign structure, keywords, landing pages, budgets, bidding, and reporting.
  • Plan, launch, and optimize campaigns across relevant China ad platforms such as Baidu, 360, Shenma, Toutiao/Bytedance, and Tencent.
  • Work with design and content teams to create high-converting ads and landing pages.
  • Define and execute SEO strategy for China, including topic clusters, landing page planning, competitor gap analysis, and keyword prioritization.
  • Partner with the China Content Manager to turn SEO strategy into execution and own traffic quality and conversion outcomes.
  • Identify technical and UX localization improvements that reduce funnel drop-offs and improve conversion rates for China users.
  • Develop and scale acquisition through native China channels and partnerships such as Zhihu, WeChat, Bilibili, forums, communities, and KOL/KOC collaborations.
  • Monitor competitor positioning, pricing, channel mix, and messaging to inform acquisition playbooks.
  • Track regulatory and market changes affecting proxy, scraping, and marketing feasibility in China.
  • Collaborate with Product and Dev teams to improve the China user journey, including payment, onboarding, documentation, and tooling expectations.
  • Align with Sales and Customer Success on ICP targeting, lead quality feedback, and user objections.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience marketing proxy, VPN, scraping, cybersecurity, developer tools, SaaS, or closely related technology products.
  • Deep understanding of the China digital marketing ecosystem and native acquisition channels.
  • Proven track record of scaling performance marketing in China through paid search and/or other paid channels.
  • Ability to build growth plans from data, run experiments, and optimize funnel conversion end to end.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define KPIs, build reporting, and make decisions from results.
  • Fluent Mandarin and strong working proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Comfort operating independently in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Experience working at a proxy, scraping, VPN, or similar China-focused tech company is preferred.
  • Experience with B2B SaaS and/or developer-targeted products is preferred.
  • Experience with partnerships or affiliates in China is preferred.
  • Understanding of China internet policies and constraints affecting marketing and distribution is preferred.
