Description

Own design problems from early concept through launch and post-launch iteration.
Bring a strong design point of view into strategic conversations and help shape the direction of new initiatives.
Create, explore, and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that demonstrate exceptional interaction and visual design craft.
Design holistic experiences that integrate hardware and software across connected devices for parents.
Conduct usability testing, gather insights, and use learnings to continuously refine and improve the experience.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to ship simple, supportive, parent-centered experiences.
Collaborate with other designers and cross-functional partners to maintain a consistent, cohesive design language across the Owlet ecosystem.
Maintain, scale, and evolve the Figma design system and component library to support fast, clear execution.
Use Owlet products regularly to understand the user journey firsthand and identify opportunities to elevate the experience for families.
Influence and support digital experiences across Owlet to ensure a cohesive, parent-centered brand experience.

Requirements

5+ years of experience designing for mobile with deep knowledge of iOS and Android patterns.
Strong portfolio of consumer app work demonstrating the ability to take problems from insight to polished, meaningful experiences.
Strong visual and interaction design skills with attention to detail and craft.
Ability to prototype ideas to express nuance, explore possibilities, and bring thinking to life.
Clear and confident communicator who grounds decisions in qualitative and quantitative data.
Experience with journey mapping and strategic design across the full experience.
Fluent in Figma and experienced building within and contributing to a design system and component library.
Comfortable working on remote or distributed teams and collaborating cross-functionally with Product and Engineering.
Collaborative, ego-free mindset and willingness to listen, iterate, and build with others.
Bonus: experience in the baby category, designing for connected device ecosystems, prototyping with AI or emerging design technologies, or working on ecommerce/conversion-focused consumer experiences.
