Description

  • Work across multiple teams to evolve web and internal tools for utility customers.
  • Lead cross-team initiatives and architectural design for critical areas of the platform.
  • Solve complex scaling and technical challenges to support rapid business growth.
  • Improve product performance and scalability to handle 3x year-over-year growth.
  • Reduce manual work in ingesting vegetation analysis into customer-facing tools.
  • Make pragmatic technology decisions and tradeoffs for current and future business needs.
  • Define coding standards and engineering best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies.
  • Mentor and coach engineers across the organization.
  • Collaborate with product managers and the CTO to inform product strategy and technical direction.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a high-growth scaleup environment.
  • Proven full-stack development experience with React/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI, Postgres, and data pipelines, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working in a build-it, run-it environment with GCP, Cloud Run, Grafana, and Kubernetes, or similar tools.
  • Ability to design and implement scalable and resilient systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and coaching engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
  • Product-minded approach with demonstrated business impact from technology work.
  • Passion for learning and staying current with evolving technologies and industry trends.
  • Based in GMT or CET time zones, with openness to US Eastern Time if there is significant overlap with GMT/CET working hours.
  • Preferred experience scaling large distributed architectures, working remotely, or working with satellite data and/or imagery.
