Description

  • Build new product capabilities and features for the web product team.
  • Help scale the product suite to support growth and higher usage.
  • Improve performance and scalability so the product can handle 3x year-over-year growth.
  • Accelerate the time to value of new product capabilities.
  • Reduce manual work involved in ingesting vegetation analysis into customer-facing applications.
  • Partner with product, design, and tech leads on key initiatives.
  • Mentor other engineers from time to time.
  • Design and implement scalable and resilient systems.
  • Work across distributed, remote teams in a build-it, run-it environment.

Requirements

  • Based in GMT/WET, CET, EET, or Eastern North America time zones for team overlap.
  • Proven full stack development experience with Python/FastAPI, React/Typescript, Postgres, and data pipelines, with Python as a core requirement.
  • Recent experience in a build-it, run-it environment such as GCP, Cloud Run, Grafana, and Kubernetes, or similar tools.
  • Experience working in a high-growth scaleup environment across distributed, remote teams.
  • Strong commitment to tackling the climate crisis.
  • Product mindset with an understanding of how technology drives business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Commitment to ongoing education, perpetual learning, mentorship, and evolving technologies.
  • Experience with maps, imagery, or geospatial domains (preferred).
  • Experience working on globally distributed teams (preferred).
