Description

  • Architect, design, and build new features for the Connectivity team.
  • Collaborate closely with Firmware and Platform teams on connected device functionality.
  • Develop and maintain the Bluetooth layer for secure and efficient communication between the Oura ring and the app.
  • Support next-generation product integration and maintain app-ring connectivity across millions of devices.
  • Ensure consistency across Oura apps.
  • Prototype and evaluate new iOS frameworks and development approaches to improve productivity.
  • Develop systems that improve app performance, maintainability, and developer experience as the product scales.
  • Help remove legacy implementations and keep the codebase up to date with modern technology.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience shipping iOS apps.
  • Strong experience with Swift and UIKit.
  • Experience with modern iOS app architectures and common third-party libraries and frameworks.
  • Experience with iOS CoreBluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy.
  • Experience working on complex shared codebases in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Git, branching, and standard code review workflows.
  • Focus on quality through unit testing and manual testing.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into shippable solutions with technical leadership.
  • Preferred: Experience with Swift structured concurrency, Combine, SQLite/GRDB, CoreAnimation, CoreGraphics, or PyTorch.
  • Preferred: Experience working asynchronously across countries and time zones.
  • Preferred: Experience with health, wellness, or fitness products.
  • Preferred: Strong systems architecture and performance optimization experience.
  • Preferred: Deep computer science fundamentals and design patterns knowledge.
  • Preferred: Contributions to open-source projects or an impressive personal portfolio.
