Description

  • Discuss, plan, design, build, and ship features across the full stack, from user interfaces to backend services and AI-powered APIs.
  • Own the end-to-end quality of the system, including reliability, performance, quality, and user experience.
  • Help evolve the architecture as modules are migrated into independent services.
  • Partner with engineers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define the user experience and technical approach.
  • Manage code reviews through pull requests and uphold strong unit tests and code quality standards.
  • Triage and fix bugs, including working directly with users to understand issues and close the loop.
  • Use AI tools, workflows, and automations to accelerate design, development, testing, and shipping.
  • Contribute to AI-powered features that improve customer productivity.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience building web applications using modern software engineering processes.
  • Proficiency in Python and Django on the backend.
  • Proficiency in front-end development, ideally with Angular.
  • Hands-on experience working within a design system or shared component library.
  • Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar as part of a daily workflow.
  • A track record of building performant and scalable systems across both frontend and backend.
  • Ability to make pragmatic tradeoffs and demonstrate prior work that reflects that experience.
  • Ability to debug complex issues across the frontend, backend, and database layers.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
  • Nice-to-have experience in fintech, accounting, or ERP integrations.
  • Nice-to-have experience building features powered by LLMs or AI APIs.
  • Nice-to-have familiarity with AWS and modern DevOps practices.
  • Nice-to-have product sense for evaluating whether a feature is genuinely useful.
