Description

  • Own insights generation and follow-up for a major business unit and serve as the primary analytics contact for Senior Managers and Associate Directors.
  • Scope, execute, and deliver analytical requests independently, including defining questions, selecting methodologies, and producing results.
  • Analyze large datasets to support business teams in making data-driven decisions and surface actionable insights.
  • Translate analysis into clear, concise, and compelling narratives and presentations for non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
  • Define requirements and enhance operational and analytical dashboards as user needs evolve.
  • Identify opportunities to create models and tools that detect healthcare inefficiencies and generate recommendations to remove them.
  • Collaborate across the organization, owning stakeholder relationships with managers and senior managers to identify actions and monitor initiative impact.
  • Support strategic projects as assigned and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in SQL (filtering, aggregation, CTEs) or proficiency in R or Python (including Pandas, loops, and statistical tests).
  • 3+ years of technical experience using analytical tools and writing analytical reports.
  • 3+ years demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and distill analyses into relevant insights using a structured thought process.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated by 5+ examples/projects presenting analysis to Leadership (Director+).
  • 3+ years experience developing dashboards and working with Looker or other BI/data visualization tools.
  • 3+ years experience with Google Sheets or Excel, including VLookup, nested IF statements, and connected Sheets.
  • 1+ years experience in healthcare, consulting, finance, or the insurance industry.
  • Bonus: 2+ years preparing healthcare analytics and reporting.
  • Bonus: 2+ years managing value-based contracts at a payer or provider organization (e.g., ACO, CIN, MSO).
  • Bonus: Exposure to healthcare contract negotiations, risk adjustment, ACA marketplace, quality of care, or population health.
