Description

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain production mobile applications using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.
  • Build new mobile screens and improve existing iOS and Android interfaces.
  • Translate high-fidelity designs into pixel-accurate, responsive mobile experiences.
  • Create interactive features, including conversational interfaces, content presentation, and user interactions.
  • Build reusable, maintainable components using modern React patterns and hooks.
  • Integrate frontend features with backend APIs and coordinate API contracts with backend engineers.
  • Resolve UI defects, performance bottlenecks, and platform-specific inconsistencies.
  • Write well-tested, documented, maintainable code; submit reviewable commits and participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to clarify requirements, prioritize work, and deliver improvements.
  • Occasionally contribute to React-based web interfaces.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience building and shipping production React Native applications.
  • Strong hands-on React Native, TypeScript, and modern React expertise, including hooks and component-based architecture.
  • Experience with Expo or the ability to work effectively in an Expo codebase.
  • Experience delivering production mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
  • Ability to translate high-fidelity designs into polished, responsive mobile interfaces.
  • Strong attention to UI consistency, typography, spacing, animations, transitions, and native-feeling interactions.
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs or similar backend services.
  • Experience maintaining existing production applications and writing clean, testable code.
  • Ability to quickly understand existing codebases, work through code reviews, and deliver independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear English communication and reliable availability during agreed working hours.
  • Experience with React 19, advanced Expo tooling, Mapbox or react-native-maps, conversational or real-time messaging interfaces, AI/LLM interfaces, PostHog, feature flags, React with Vite, or startup teams is preferred.
